Send/Receive gets stuck on "writing synchronization log"
We are looking for some direction here. We have an exchange server 2003 that all our client computers sync Outlook 2003 to. Also included on some clients are external mail services. When they press the "Send/Receive" button, the progress screen shows all the mail gets sent and received but it stays at 91% complete while the exchange server task, stays there with a status of "writing synchronization log" and will never go away unless you cancel it. On one machine with the problem, I ran the outlook repair tool and it found one message that was in error between the server and the client. It removed the problem message and a second run showed no errors. At that time, the "send/receive" worked nicely. However, this morning it starting doing it again. There is no information in the sync log at any time during this problem. Any ideas? Any way to find out what Outlook thinks it is doing? I can't believe the sync log would be so large that it would take hours to write. Any help or direction would be most appreciated.
